How Do I Become A Volunteer

All potential volunteers are required to complete an application (unless volunteering  for a one-time supervised assignment) with valid emergency contact information on file . This process includes a criminal history and child abuse/neglect check. Girls Inc. will provide the necessary forms.

Why do we have volunteers?

Volunteers are an important part of our organization. Staff alone cannot provide the quality, diversity of skills and experiences to the large number of girls our agency serves. Volunteers share talents and varied backgrounds with the girls  by teaching positive lessons that will follow them throughout their lives.

What can I do to help?

Girls Incorporated has a variety of volunteer opportunities: classroom

attendant, outreach attendant, fieldtrip chaperone, homework helper/tutor, assist with office activities, special events, and mailings. Volunteer come in many forms; everyone has something to contribute.  If baking cakes is your specialty, come show us how! If you sew, come share your  skills! Do you love to talk? Be a guest speaker!  Be creative & remember to have fun!

What is the next step?

Contact Girls Inc. either as an individual or as a group to speak with our Volunteer Coordinator.  The Volunteer Coordinator will be able to provide you with all of the upcoming volunteer opportunities that are available.  If you have an idea of a project that you want to do with the girl, please share that information with us and we will make  every  attempt to make it happen.

Thank you for all that you do!

We couldn’t do it with out you.

We are dedicated to placing our volunteers in a job that is a good match for you and for us! Look at the list below to view some upcoming events. Please know that the event dates are subject to change.
